On March 6th, another very special HAPE event took place in the Casa de Cultura Joseíto Fernández in Centro Habana, presenting fantastic artists, some, for the first time:
Kilomboy's - a band formed by the musicians from Cimafunk, Havana’s latest musical funk sensation - mixed the music of their instruments with DJ LANDEEP, electronic beats.
El Negro Wadpro - percussionist, DJ and producer who strikes a balance between traditional Cuban sounds and contemporary experimental music. In this video, El Negro explains to us his musical philosophy.
Brebaje Man also took the microphone rapping to the rhythm played by the band. Known in Havana’s hip-hop scene since 1995 he was one of the leads in the infamous group “EXPLOSIÓN SUPREMA”.
