Miami, USA, 24 October 2018
On October 24 at 1306 Bar in the heart of Wynwood Miami, HAPE joined forces with Swedish tech company Rebtel's Tan Lejos Tan Cerca project bringing from Havana to Miami for the very first time rap duo El Individuo and JD Asere, together with DJ Lapiz creators of the project's anthem song.
The duo was accompanied by Grammy nominated Danay Suarez, making a surprise stage entrance singing her signature composition "Yo aprendí", before starting her show featuring some of her newest songs, some sang for first time in public.
The floor then passed to Havana's DJ Jigue with his blend of Afro-Cuban rhythms and electronic music. Joyvan Guevara, Havana's veteran electronic music DJ closed the night.
For the event, designers from Havana Raiko Valladares Nogué, Daniela Friedman worked with Miami based graffiti artist Abstrk, creating a beautiful installation representing the Malecon from which guests made free calls to cuba through Rebtel's app.
