HAPE 500 BIRTHDAY LA HABANA

On November 16th, HAPE celebrated Havana’s 500th birthday in the Casa de Cultura Joseíto Fernández in Centro Habana, a venue part of the architectural and historic heritage of the city. It did so with a U.S. & Cuba line-up:

From Chicago, for the second time in Havana, JULIUS THE MAD THINKER. DJ/Producer, and one of the early promoters of house music, he is the founder of Mi Casa Holiday, which produces music events in Mexico, U.S., Costa Rica and Cuba.

DJ DEEP JUST,  veteran of New York’s house scene with over 25 yers behind the turntables, he draws inspiration for his sets from Afro rhythms.

From Los Angeles, TASO, member of the infamous collectiveTeklife since 2012, he is one of the protagonists in the revival movement of the footwork scene in the U.S.

Taso presented his set together with DJ JIGÜE & EL MENOR, with their unmistakable afrofuturismo tropical!

Our resident LANDEEP closed the fiery celebrations, playing some of the tunes of the HAPE co-produced album, Pulo NDJ.

HAPE 500th BIRTHDAY BEAUTIFUL HAVANA!
